about Juniper kombucha
Juniper berries are a spice used in a wide variety of culinary dishes, best known as the primary flavoring in Gin. (It is also responsible for the name “Gin”, which is a shortening of the Dutch word for juniper -  jenever) 

Juniper is an evergreen tree producing berry-like seeds which have been used for culinary and medicinal purposes since ancient times. Current research suggests that they may offer various health benefits

Juniper berries are very high in flavonoid antioxidants, monoterpenes, coumarins and vitamins A and C - all of which may offer various health benefits. 

Juniper essential oils and flavonoids offer antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

About Ginger kombucha

This flavor is activating and exciting - a definite boost to our inner fire (energy).

​What is ginger?

Ginger root has a spicy taste due to its chemical composition, specifically the compound gingerol, which creates its notorious hot sensation. It is a well known plant, appreciated for both its taste and health benefits. (Who does not know the winning Ginger-Lemon-Honey go-to tea, on a cold day? Ginger is a go to spice used in almost any Asian recipes. )

Ginger root contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to treat health issues such as constipation, bloatiness, poor digestion, nausea, morning sickness, cold and can also be beneficial for healthy skin and weight loss.

Ginger is such a well known and powerful plant - that it needs no further introduction. 

We use the highest quality of fresh ginger root and slow press the juice, which is then added to our ready kombucha. Then they are blended together through a short second round of fermentation.

Every great kombucha starts with a good cup of tea. Tea is the foundation of this wonderful drink. The classic flavor is quite round and brave, with no strong flavors to lead, other than the subtle notes of the tea blend itself.

The floral notes of the tea are revealed through the process of fermentation, creating this extraordinary drink, containing all the benefits of kombucha & tea. 

It is very interesting to notice how the flavor profile of tea changes throughout the fermentation process. Some notes become amplified, and others get completely lost. It is a two week trial and error experiment until finding the perfect blend. Honestly, we are pretty darn proud of ours.
